Aryna Sabalenka

Sabalenka is a native of Minsk, the capital of Belarus. She was the daughter of Sergey (d. in 2019) was an ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born Minsk, Belarus on May 5th of 1998. She has 12 WTA titles throughout her career. This includes winning the Grand Slam of 2023 Australian Open. When it comes to doubles, she's an excellent player. She's taken home two Majors with Elise Mertens: the US Open in 2019 and the Australian Open in 2021. This year, the Belgian took home her both the WTA 1000 and Miami Open in Indian Wells with her Belgian partners, making The Sunshine Double. The feat was made possible by four couples competing in the women's doubles. The 23rd of August, 2021 was the day she was ranked second in the world singles ranking the highest position she had ever reached in January 2023. After winning the Melbourne doubles competition in February 2021 and gaining the doubles title, she managed to move up the rankings to claim the first position for this particular area. Dmitry Tursunov, a former Russian tennis player, played with her through the season of 2018 until the end and part of the 2020 season. Dieter Kindlmann was her coach from August to September of 2020. Antonio Dubrov, her fellow countryman is coaching her since the year 2020. Serena Williams, and Maria Sharapova are her idols.
